Ben Platt

Ben Platt is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He began his career in theater, gaining notoriety in the Broadway productions of The Book of Mormon (2012–2013) and playing the title character in the critically acclaimed stage play Dear Evan Hansen (2015–2017), for which he won multiple awards including the 2017 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and the 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program, alongside the Dear Evan Hansen cast.

Platt's film credits include roles in Pitch Perfect (2012), Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), and Ricki and the Flash (2015).

In 2019, Platt released his debut album titled Sing To Me Instead, the released was followed by the Sing To Me Instead concert tour. The last tour date was filmed from his sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall for a future release by Netflix. Platt also released the stand-alone single titled Rain.

He currently stars in the Netflix TV show The Politician, for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2019. The soundtrack from the series was also released, featuring covers from Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel and Platt's Run Away, from his debut album Sing To Me Instead.
